Driving Directions:
From the Juan Santamaria International Airport, take the Inter Americana Highway (Road 1) to La Garita de Alajuela, for about 10 or 15 minutes. You will then come to a major intersection, called Los Manolos, with a bridge in front of you. DO NOT go under the bridge, but turn right before the bridge and take the entrance to la Garita (Road 3). After about 1 mile you will see a soccer field on the left; turn left. After 5 minutes you will come to an intersection in front of you. DO NOT go under the bridge, but turn left to a roundabout, then take the exit to the new highway (see the map). Once on the highway, you will pass two toll stations: after the second one, take the JACO exit. Go straight on the way to JACO, passing over the “Crocodiles Bridge” (Tarcoles River) on Road 34. About 30 or 40 minutes, you will come to the HERRADURA intersection with traffic lights. Turn right and go about a mile to Los Sueños Marriott (which will be on your right)
The whole trip should take approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
